Mass Emails from Holy Wisdom Monastery through Vertical Response

The communications department at Holy Wisdom Monastery recently switched mass email providers to Vertical Response. The main reason we switched was to save money, although Vertical Response offers some handy features that we are excited about as well.

If you haven’t already signed up for our Benedictine Bridge e-newsletter or Living in Community e-newsletter, you can click on these links and do so.  Benedictine Bridge is the monthly e-newsletter of Holy Wisdom Monastery sent out on (or around) the 15th of each month, that contains one or two spirituality articles, and information on upcoming retreats and events at the monastery.  The Living in Community e-newsletter is distributed monthly on (or around) the 1st of each month, and contains updates and reflections on the Benedictine Women of Madison monastic community.  You can read archived articles from Benedictine Bridge or Living in Community before subscribing if you wish.

One thing you can do to ensure that you are receiving our e-newsletters is to add the email address Holy_Wisdom_Monastery@mail.vresp.com to your safe sender list (or ‘white’ list).  It varies by email program on how you do this, so if you have any problems don’t hesitate to contact Carolyn McGinley at 608-836-1631 x119.  If you are not sure if you are receiving our e-newsletters, contact Carolyn and he can check whether you are on our email list.

Hi Sherri: The Irish blessing that was run in the March 2011 edition of Benedictine Bridge was as follows:

      May love and laughter
      light your days,
And warm your heart and home.
      May good and faithful
      friends be yours,
      Wherever you may roam.
      May peace and plenty
      bless your world
      With joy that long endures.
      May all life’s passing seasons
Bring the best to you and yours.
