Holiday Fair and Angel Tea

The Holiday Season is getting close and the Holy Wisdom Monastery has two very special events planned to kick-off the season in festive fashion. Mark your calendars now for Sunday, November 8, 2015, because you won’t want to miss them!

The Holiday Fair provides an opportunity for shoppers to select amongst a wide variety of items at prices guaranteed to bring a smile to the face of even the most frugal. Christmas ornaments, home décor, handmade items, jewelry, collectibles, original artwork and many more items may be perfect for you or someone on your shopping list. Scrumptious baked-goods and applesauce and cider made from the monastery’s home-grown apples will also be available for purchase. The Holiday Fair will be held in the monastery building from 12:00-3:30 pm, Sunday, November 8, 2015. All are welcome.

The Angel Tea is a holiday party perfect for the young as well as the young-at-heart! Gather your friends, family and children and bring them to this memorable Holy Wisdom Monastery event fashioned after England’s High Tea tradition. Enjoy savory mini-sandwiches and delectable homemade pastries accompanied with a cup of hot tea, hot cider, or hot chocolate. Tickets are $12/adult and $6/child, ages 10 and under. Seating times for the tea are 10:45-11:45 am (SundayAssembly members only), 12:00-1:00 pm, 1:30-2:30 pm and 2:30-3:30 pm. The last three seating times are open to the public.Reservations are recommended and can be made at benedictinewomen.org/Sunday-assembly/angel-tea-registration/ or by contacting Janine Edwards atjanine.c.edwards@gmail.com. All proceeds benefit the important work of Holy Wisdom Monastery.
