Earth Week Walk for Kids This Sunday after Sunday Assembly, we invite children and their parents or grandparents to celebrate Earth Week with a walk on the monastery grounds. Kids On the Prairie walks are a chance for kids ages 5 to 15 to explore parts of the monastery grounds with a naturalist. Children 3-4 are also welcome with parent support. Learn about caring for the earth Children, parents, grandparents and friends are invited to Kids On the Prairie on Sunday, June 27. This month's theme is exploring Wisdom Prairie. Using magnifiers and a little patience, we will investigate flowers and the insects that live on them. Sunday Assembly member, Rita Emmenegger, will help us look for monarch eggs on common milkweed. Hopefully we will see some monarchs. This month's prairie exploration will be followed by a short walk to look for bluebirds that have recently fledged.
