The ECCSR is hosting a brunch following 9:00 am Sunday Assembly to meet and hear from pastors in the 2022 cohort. The brunch will occur on the final full day of their 11-day immersion and the pastors and co-directors look forward to this opportunity to express gratitude to the communities of Holy Wisdom for the many ways people have supported and contributed to the Contemplative Renewal Immersion. Spiritual Growth Opportunities Including the Oblate Community In addition to Sunday liturgies, spiritual life is nourished through experiences such as daily Liturgy of the Hours, Centering Prayer, retreats, classes and workshops. The Oblates of Holy Wisdom Monastery, totaling nearly 150 members, form an ecumenical learning community of people who are diverse in backgrounds, ages and faith traditions. The Oblates find guidance in the Rule of Benedict and help one another to integrate Benedictine spirituality into their lives. Come learn about the vibrant Oblate community.

Forest bathing (shinrin-yoku) is the practice of “bathing” in the atmosphere of the forest, absorbing health benefits from nature and entering into a deep communion with the environment. We will adapt this practice for a slow-paced hour-long walk and exploration at Holy Wisdom Monastery. Please wear walking shoes and dress for being outdoors.
