Friends of Wisdom Prairie Annual Meeting & Lecture

The 2021 Friends of Wisdom Prairie Annual Meeting will feature a lecture on bird migration by Matt Reetz, executive direction of Madison Audubon.  We will begin the program with a brief annual meeting featuring nominations for new Friends of Wisdom Prairie Council members and a look back at some of our favorite accomplishments and moments from 2021.  Due to concerns about COVID, the event will take place virtually via Zoom. Grassland and savanna ecosystems contain lots of biodiversity, but have been lost and degraded at high rates and face new threats due to climate change. This presentation will cover information from long-term observational and experimental studies to document the drivers of change and how restoration and conservation practices can protect these habitats into the future.
