Holiday Concert with Middleton High School Choir

Please join us for the annual holiday concert, performed by the Middleton High School Choir and directed by Justin Wilder. The choir spends the day traveling around the area giving performances and we are honored to be one of the venues for their day. The short half hour concert will take place on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 12:30 pm in the monastery assembly room. It is free and open to the public, and a light reception with cookies follows. The College of St. Scholastica Concert Choir and Bella Voce performance

The College of St. Scholastica Concert Choir and Bella Voce will be performing music from a variety of genres from the Renaissance through today, featuring music to be selected from Hildegard von Bingen, Hassler, Runestad, Stroope, Gjeilo, and more. The Concert Choir is an auditioned mixed choir of 50 students and Bella Voce is a select treble voice choir of 40 students, where many students perform in both ensembles. Contemplative Landscapes by artist Ann Haberl The exhibit of oil paintings and prints by Madison artist Ann Haberl will open at Holy Wisdom Monastery on Friday, May 5, 2017, with a reception from 5:00-7:00 pm. Ann’s work explores the reverence she feels for the natural world and aligns with the Benedictine values of beauty, balance, simplicity and contemplation. Beneath the Surface Art Exhibit

All are welcome to the opening reception for the spring art exhibit, Beneath the Surface, featuring photographs of well-known Madison locations seen in intriguingly unfamiliar ways. Photographer, Lisa Seidman crafts images emphasizing the furtive, fleeting, hidden and unnoticed. It's a perspective that brings new appreciation for familiar places by illuminating that which is just beneath the surface of the everyday. Youth Chorus concert

The Lake Superior Youth Chorus from Duluth will perform a free concert at Holy Wisdom on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm. The chorus has performed with other groups including the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Opera, and the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra.  Thirty-four 6-9th graders must audition to be accepted into the chorus. The group is on their way to Chicago for several more performances and sightseeing. No RSVP needed! Invite your friends and enjoy the concert. Light refreshments will follow the half hour concert.
