The College of St. Scholastica Concert Choir and Bella Voce will be performing music from a variety of genres from the Renaissance through today, featuring music to be selected from Hildegard von Bingen, Hassler, Runestad, Stroope, Gjeilo, and more. The Concert Choir is an auditioned mixed choir of 50 students and Bella Voce is a select treble voice choir of 40 students, where many students perform in both ensembles. The choirs are two of the five vocal ensembles featured at the college, where they perform regularly on and off campus throughout the year. The choirs tour regionally and internationally and have been featured on Minnesota Public Radio. This spring, their national tour takes them through Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Missouri.
The College of St. Scholastica overlooks Lake Superior in Duluth, Minnesota. Since 1912, St. Scholastica has been preparing students in the Benedictine tradition for a life of purpose. The main campus in Duluth is a vibrant place of community and learning, and is also home to the St. Scholastica Monastery.
