Contemplative Landscapes by artist Ann Haberl The exhibit of oil paintings and prints by Madison artist Ann Haberl will be on display at Holy Wisdom Monastery from May 5-July 31, 2017. Ann’s work explores the reverence she feels for the natural world and aligns with the Benedictine values of beauty, balance, simplicity and contemplation. The exhibit can be viewed Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm.

Holy Wisdom Monastery is pleased to announce Beth Racette as the featured artist for the 2016 Fall Art Exhibit. Beth is a visual artist who works in many mediums—acrylic ink paintings, sculpture, and installation. Her work has explored a variety of topics from social structure, such as the prison system, to the web of life. This fall’s exhibit, the Gaia Series, is taken from the name the ancient Greeks gave to the Earth Goddess, the Creator of Earth, and the Universe. A new art exhibit featuring the work of Sunday Assembly members, Oblates, and others associated with the monastery, will open on Sunday, August 14, 2016, in the Gathering Area. The theme for the exhibit is “Simple Gifts” and will reflect the Benedictine values of beauty, balance and simplicity.
