Spring art exhibit opening reception

Contemplative Landscapes by artist Ann Haberl The exhibit of oil paintings and prints by Madison artist Ann Haberl will open at Holy Wisdom Monastery on Friday, May 5, 2017, with a reception from 5:00-7:00 pm. Ann’s work explores the reverence she feels for the natural world and aligns with the Benedictine values of beauty, balance, simplicity and contemplation. Contemplative Landscapes by artist Ann Haberl The exhibit of oil paintings and prints by Madison artist Ann Haberl will be on display at Holy Wisdom Monastery from May 5-July 31, 2017. Ann’s work explores the reverence she feels for the natural world and aligns with the Benedictine values of beauty, balance, simplicity and contemplation. Holiday Concert with Middleton High School Choir

Youth Chorus concert

The Lake Superior Youth Chorus from Duluth will perform a free concert at Holy Wisdom on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm. The chorus has performed with other groups including the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Opera, and the Lake Superior Chamber Orchestra.  Thirty-four 6-9th graders must audition to be accepted into the chorus. The group is on their way to Chicago for several more performances and sightseeing. No RSVP needed! Invite your friends and enjoy the concert. Light refreshments will follow the half hour concert.

Gary Eldred: The Simple Beauty of Native Plants Holy Wisdom Monastery is pleased to feature the pen and ink drawings of Gary Eldred who was one of the originators of The Prairie Enthusiasts, an organization whose mission is to protect land with remnant prairies and savannas. His art grew out of his love for the species he was working to protect for future generations. The exhibit illustrates the delicate beauty of native plants that might be missed from a distance.
