Taizé Prayer Join us for contemplative, meditative Taizé style common prayer, incorporating simple sung refrains, scripture and a brief spoken meditation in the monastery assembly room. This prayer and meditation will take the place of midday prayer on March 13, 2024 at Holy Wisdom Monastery. Leaders Patti LaCross, Sunday Assembly member and Bill Frederick, director of prayer & worship, will lead the Taizé Prayer. Please join us for Lenten Taizé prayer at Holy Wisdom Monastery on Friday April 4, 2025 beginning at 11:00 am in the Assembly Room, in place of midday prayer. We will sing songs of love and contemplation with the choir and instrumentalists leading. Then, at noon, all are invited to join the sisters for a simple soup lunch prepared by Chef Felipe Saint-Martin in the guest dining room. Please join us for good food and conversation! Join us for a contemplative Taizé Prayer near the winter solstice, the shortest day and longest night of the year, to reflect on our loss, grief, sadness and loneliness. This event will replace our regular midday prayer at 11:45 am. The event will take place in the Monastery Assembly Room. Consider extending your experience by staying longer and attending lunch at the monastery.
