You are invited to join us for the opening reception of the fall art exhibit A Visual Journey. Holy Wisdom Monastery is pleased to feature the watercolors of Ann Herrold-Peterson who views watercolor painting as a visual journey, both for her as the artist, and hopefully for you, the viewer. Her paintings explore the surprising nature of ordinary things and her compositions augment a sense that the world around us is full of wonderful surprises, if we just stop to look. A Still Life by Jeanette Zissell Holy Wisdom is pleased to feature the work of Jeanette Zissell, a literary scholar and self-taught visual artist whose unique mixed-media drawing technique illustrates captivating images in soft translucent colors. Her drawings express soothing, contemplative emotions that inspire mindfulness and serenity in others.  The exhibit will run from May 10 through July 28, 2019.  Gallery hours are M - F 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (excluding holidays) and Sundays 10:00 - 11:00 am.
