You are invited to a special Friends of Wisdom Prairie workday on Saturday November 5, 2016. From 9:00 am until noon we will be planting about 3 acres of prairie, in 3 different locations. One is an old fence row where the fence and weedy trees and shrubs have been removed. This fence row is between two existing prairie restorations. A second location is the old driveway that used to lead to the farm house. The third location is in the north prairie, now known as the North Mendota Wildlife Area, where several of the trails through this prairie are being eliminated.
We hope to have about 20 people come and help us with this good work. If we get more, we will probably get finished very quickly.
When you arrive, stop at the registration table at the top of the monastery parking lot, and the registrar will instruct you where to park and find your seed sowing leader.
Refreshments will be served in the field.
I hope you can join us to help the Sisters care for the earth.
