Faith in Action – HR1, One Big Beautiful Budget Bill

We have an opportunity to learn more about HR 1, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, passed by our federal representatives on July 4, 2025. HR 1 is having an unjust impact on children, older adults, people with disabilities and our environment in Dane County. Some of the impact is already being felt through the SNAP/WIC (food share) programs with families and our food pantries.

We can be in community with one another as we educate ourselves, express our concerns, and respond through specific letters to our Dane County Supervisors. Through these actions, we become a community of advocates working together for justice and the well-being of our neighbors.

Please join Rex Piercy and Sally Bowers as they present information about HR 1 and the importance of letter writing. We will also take action together by writing letters to our Dane County Supervisors about the impact of HR 1 on our community. If you do not know your supervisor – no worry – we can find it for you as you write your letter.
