A short photo tour of the Holy Wisdom grounds Lynne Smith, OSB November 11, 2020Living in Community 1 Comment This month, I’m sharing with you a short photo tour of the grounds. Many migratory waterfowl stop on Lost Lake on their way south. These cranes came for several days to eat at the lake. Greg Armstrong and volunteers have been clearing out the kettle on the edge of the woods. Just the oaks and hickories remain. The clearing of the underbrush in the kettle reveals these two hickories standing together on the perimeter of the kettle. The maples on the grounds have been beautiful this year! The edge of the pine woods above the vegetable garden was full of these small maple seedlings. I didn’t see them until they turned yellow. Sunset in front of the retreat and guest house.
