Forest bathing (shinrin-yoku) is the practice of “bathing” in the atmosphere of the forest, absorbing health benefits from nature and entering into a deep communion with the environment. We will adapt this practice for a slow-paced hour-long walk and exploration at Holy Wisdom Monastery. Please wear walking shoes and dress for being outdoors.
Marian Farrior is the Restoration Outreach Coordinator at UW-Madison Arboretum, where she also co-leads the WI Master Naturalist training. She is a Permaculture teacher with the Madison Area Permaculture Guild and a certified Association and Nature and Forest Therapy guide.
