About the Artists – Jennifer Peters & Karen Fitzsimmons
Karen Fitzsimmons began painting as a child in her grandmother’s dining room. Her formal painting lessons began in third grade, and mentors encouraged her throughout school. Karen earned a degree in Art Education from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. She has worked as an art teacher, done production work for potters, worked within the craft industry and owned an art supply store. Throughout the years, Karen has remained a dedicated painter and has exhibited in galleries and outdoor art shows.

Jennifer Peters is an international award- winning artist who has exhibited throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and in Europe. Jennifer is an impressionist photographer who strives to engage the viewer by depicting her deep love of nature in an expressive manner. Her images explore the nuances of natural forms by allowing the camera lens to capture intricacies and details that the naked eye cannot see. By depicting the delicate fragments found in nature, Jennifer creates abstract forms of art which encourages others to connect in a personal and emotional way.
