#GivingTuesday – Nov. 29, 2022
Unite with us to support the sisters and their mission, vision and ministries at Holy Wisdom Monastery. Together, our collective gifts help to sustain Benedictine spirituality, inclusive communities, environmental restoration and offer a welcoming place for all.
Our goal is to raise $100,000 from 125 people.
Double Your Impact
A generous, anonymous community member has offered $15,000 to match all gifts dollar-for-dollar, regardless of size! This gift matching opportunity allows you to double the impact of your gift. Please help us meet the match.
In addition to our $15,000 match being offered, a generous donor has offered to make a $10,000 gift if we’re able to meet our goal of 125 donors for #GivingTuesday. That’s a new total of $25,000 available in challenge and matching funds!
As of 4:30 pm CT, 118 people have given $69,454 to Holy Wisdom Monastery for #GivingTuesday! We only need 7 more people to give a #GivingTuesday gift to unlock the $10,000 challenge gift. Click here to see our list of donors.
If you have any questions or would rather give your gift with a credit card over the phone, please contact Nick Traxler, interim director of mission advancement, at 608-836-1631, x124.
“Somehow the work we do touches a dream within others. It helps others find deeper meaning and it allows each of us to change into our better selves. This is why people give so generously because it is important and meaningful work.”

Strategic Aspirations & Giving Examples
These aspirations and examples offer a glimpse of past needs and an ideal future for what Holy Wisdom Monastery and the community of communities need to achieve their aspirations and to serve the people of your community.
We aspire to be a beacon of Benedictine spirituality. The Rule of Benedict envisions a community that supports each person’s relationship with God and others. The Rule highlights a balance of daily work and prayer. All work is valued, provides service to others and is an opportunity for personal development.
