SUMMARY:Blessing and Rededication of Monastery Piano
DESCRIPTION:Last year\, the Monastery’s custom built Schimmel grand piano was refurbished with a generous gift from oblate and Sunday Assembly member Sherri Hansen in memory of her late husband\, Scott Shimanski. Join us on Sunday\, June 15th\, at 2:00 pm for a free concert celebrating this gift to our community. There will also be a formal dedication of the instrument by Sister Lynne Smith\, OSB. \nParticipants on the program will include Bill Frederick\, Sherri Hansen\, Grace Rosholt\, George Teague and Patrick Terry. Works by Saint-Saëns\, Bérlioz\, Debussy\, Schubert\, Schumann and many more! Please join us for an afternoon reprieve and reverie in the midst of these angst-filled times\, celebrating not only this gift\, but the power of music to soothe\, comfort\, and heal. \nCost\nThere is no cost for this event \nRegister\nPlease register by June 14\, 2025. \n \n
