SUMMARY:Blessing and Rededication of Monastery Piano
DESCRIPTION:Last year\, the Monastery’s custom built Schimmel grand piano was refurbished with a generous gift from oblate and Sunday Assembly member Sherri Hansen in memory of her late husband\, Scott Shimanski. Join us on Sunday\, June 15th\, at 2:00 pm for a free concert celebrating this gift to our community. There will also be a formal dedication of the instrument by Sister Lynne Smith\, OSB. \nParticipants on the program will include Bill Frederick\, Sherri Hansen\, Grace Rosholt\, George Teague and Patrick Terry. Works by Saint-Saëns\, Bérlioz\, Debussy\, Schubert\, Schumann and many more! Please join us for an afternoon reprieve and reverie in the midst of these angst-filled times\, celebrating not only this gift\, but the power of music to soothe\, comfort\, and heal. \nCost\nThere is no cost for this event \nRegister\nPlease register by June 14\, 2025. \n \n

Experienced volunteer educators and guides will facilitate a short hike to learn about nature and explore the grounds and trails. This free event is open to members of Holy Wisdom communities and the general public. \nJune 22 –  Explore Wisdom Prairie\nSee what’s blooming and buzzing. Look for flowers everywhere even on shrubs and conifers. Make a flower rubbing. How many different kinds of flowers will we find?
