SUMMARY:Advent: To Seek and to Save the Lost (in-person)
DESCRIPTION:The Advent season returns us to the incarnation of the Christ-spirit and its power to restore us in hope and renew us in purpose. This series takes its starting point from the Gospel of Luke where Jesus says he has come “to seek and to save the lost.” Sometimes the language of saving doesn’t always set easily with us. Nor does the suggestion that we are somehow lost! Yet\, in setting aside time to listen with the ear of our hearts to Jesus\, to Luke\, to each other and to our own inner longings – we may find ourselves newly inspired by the Christ-spirit\, who speaks what we most need to hear and promises to preserve us in love. \n90-minute sessions will include some teaching\, small group discussion\, contemplative dialogue\, and a time for meditation. \nDates/times\nThis three-week Advent series will be offered in-person on Tuesdays from 10:00-11:30 am or virtually on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 pm. \nIn-person (Tuesdays\, 10:00-11:30 am)\n\nDec 3\nDec 10\nDec 17\n\nVirtually (Wednesdays\, 6:30-8:00 pm)\n\nDec. 4\nDec. 11\nDec. 18\n\nSpeaker – Pam Shellberg\n\nPam Shellberg is the director of spiritual nourishment at Holy Wisdom monastery\, a contemplative\, a student of the Christian scriptures and a spiritual director. \nCost\n$35/person \n  \nRegister\nPlease register by Dec. 2\, 2024.
