What does it mean to embrace and follow a spiritual path with personal integrity? In this six-session exploration of the complex relationship between personal spirituality and religious belonging we will read Tom Zanzig’s book, The Transformed Heart. Using contemplative dialog, lectio divina, and open conversation, our aim is for each participant to reflect on their own experience of seeking a spirituality to ground their life, whether that is outside organized religion or within a religious community. Spiritual transformation is a lifelong process. Together we will reflect on the rich treasury of our own journeys.
The course is led by Tom Zanzig and Pamela Johnson, each of whom has worked in professional ministry and religious publishing as writers and editors for more than 40 years. They are Oblates of Holy Wisdom Monastery and members of its Sunday Assembly, where they continue to nourish their transforming hearts.
