One-Minute Meditation: A Practical, Powerful Way to Pray
October 23, 2016 @ 10:15 am - 11:15 am
One-Minute Meditation introduces a personal prayer practice that Tom Zanzig first developed for himself and then started to share with others. The response was so positive that he began to include the practice in many of the workshops and retreats he offered during his many years in active ministry. The practice of the one-minute meditation is deceptively simple, quick to learn, and easily adaptable to suit personal preferences and different life situations.
In this one-hour session, Tom will introduce the practice and lead us through a variety of experiences with it. He will then share seven helpful hints for including one-minute meditation as an occasional or regular element of our personal prayer practice.
Tom Zanzig is a member of Sunday Assembly and an oblate. Now retired, he worked in the Catholic Church for over 40 years, first in parish ministry and then as a writer, editor, and publisher of religious education materials. A popular workshop and convention presenter all over the United States and Canada, Tom also directed conferences, retreats, and workshops on youth ministry, religious education, spirituality, and other topics in Germany, Australia, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates. The father of two adult children, he lives in Madison with his wife, Peg.
