This 4-part series will address the BIG questions participants bring about evolution, evolutionary consciousness, how the universe unfolded and continues to unfold. How do the Book of Nature and the Book of Scripture together inform us? Together we will read Making All Things New: Catholicity, Cosmology, Consciousness by Ilia Delio. The author shares that catholicity (small c) is a conscious awareness of how everything, all organisms from the single-celled to homo sapiens, forms one whole; catholicity is whole-making. We will also explore Laudato Si, by Pope Francis; Caste by Isabel Wilkerson, and writings of Teilhard de Chardin, to deepen our understanding of systemic climate change, and racism as they influence our study of the new universe story.
This series is an updated version of the same offering at Holy Wisdom Monastery in February-March 2019.
