You’re invited!

The sisters at Holy Wisdom Monastery have built a nurturing community of communities. On Sunday, September 26, 2021, help us rejoice with all the communities by attending Celebration of Community!

This celebration honors the sisters and their promises to monastic life. It also provides an opportunity to welcome many of you back to the monastery and bless all of you who form these communities. Don’t miss this day of ritual, liturgy, laughter, sharing, delicious food and fun!

Milestones

The day’s events will begin with Sunday Assembly liturgy at 9:00 am, followed by a community potluck brunch and short program to honor all of our communities.

  • Novice Everline Jeruto will make her first monastic profession

The other sisters will renew their monastic promises:

  • Sister Joanne Kollasch, 91st birthday and 67th anniversary of monastic promise
  • Sister Mary David Walgenbach, 60th anniversary of monastic promise
  • Sister Lynne Smith, 21st anniversary of monastic promise
  • Sister Denise West, 3rd anniversary of monastic promise

Care for the Sisters

In honor of the sisters’ achievements and leadership, and to celebrate their love and care of our community of communities, would you consider a gift to their Care for the Sisters fund?

Your gift will ensure the sisters have access to quality health care, retirement, continuing education tuition and enrichment development for the current and next generation of monastic leaders here at Holy Wisdom Monastery.

DONATE TO CARE FOR THE SISTERS

In Gratitude for our Celebration Event Sponsors

We deeply appreciate the financial support provided by more than 150 donors to support the ongoing needs of our Benedictine Women of Madison sister’s community.  More than $128,000 has been raised specifically for the Care for the Sisters Fund, which provides the quality health care, retirement, continuing education tuition and enrichment development and personal travel needs for the current and next generation of monastic leaders at Holy Wisdom Monastery.
